If you enjoy the Star Wars movies and stories, you probably want to dress up like one of the characters from the franchise and the Stormtrooper is always a fun choice. Stormtroopers aren’t exactly the most well thought of characters from Star Wars…after all, they’re impressively scary bad guys outfitted in extreme armor and carrying weapons. This can make them fun to dress up as, and in this article we’ll be sharing some ideas for finding the best stormtrooper costumes and accessories.
If you want to add some extra realism and scariness to your Stormtrooper costume, you should get a voice changer that will help you sound like them as well as look like them. You can find these things online and you might even be able to find an used one on eBay. If any stores sell novelty items or Star Wars related products, you may be able to find the voice changer there. A voice amplifier is a gadget that you mount inside of your Stormtrooper helmet and it helps you sound incredibly authentic.
The settings can be adjusted so you might need to practice with it a few times in order to get the sound right. You’ll definitely (pleasantly) surprise your friends when, in addition to looking like a real Stormtrooper, you sound like a real Stormtrooper too. If you are a fan of the Star Wars franchise, you might understand that there are different kinds of Stormtroopers including Sandtroopers and Snowtroopers. These special forces are different soldiers who have been trained for different kinds of environments. If you want to dress up like a sandtrooper, one accessory you should have is a backpack. Sandtroopers carry backpacks that house a variety of tools and gear. These backpacks are found online or in stores that specialize in things of this nature or you can purchase a regular backpack and transform it into the kind that are carried by Sandtroopers. To do this transformation you’ll need tubing that is black as well as plastic boxes that are either black or painted to be black, like the kind that hold batteries for cars and a variety of electronic doodads.
Every single costume gains effectiveness when you actually play things out as if you were the character you are dressing up as. For the Stormtroopers, you can learn more about their characteristics and mannerisms by watching the Star Wars movies in which they are prominently featured.
Yes, it is important to make sure that you look a lot like them but it is also important to walk and move like them too. This can be a lot more fun if you have someone else or even a group of someone else’s who are all dressed like Stormtroopers, which helps you create the appearance of an entire unit. If you’re really good in your portrayal of the Stormtrooper, you might actually cause people to feel nervous or scared when you aim your blaster at them!
The Star Wars franchise is not showing any signs of slowing down or fading away; the popularity of the costumes from these movies is still quite large. Some people only want to play the heroes of the movies but somebody has to choose to play the villains and the Stormtroopers also play important roles in the stories. So put these hints and tips to work so that you can find a really great Stormtrooper costume.
